Do What You Can With What You Have Got

2020, lockdown and the pandemic has seen the rise in mental health. More people are suffering with anxiety related feelings. 

Really, we want to go through our life living in the present and doing the best that we can. It is easier said than done, however, there are a few things that we can do in order to increase our physical and mental wellbeing. 

  1. Allow yourself to feel the emotions. The moment that we resist emotions we are feeling, we create tension in our body. The negative feelings that we have come from us trying to ignore our feelings. 
  2. Move your body. This is a key thing. Movement helps to create emotion. For me going for a walk outdoors or a workout helps me to improve my mood. 
  3. Focus on your breathing. If you are finding yourself in a panic, focus on breathing and bring yourself back to the present moment. 

These are only a few things that you can do, but anything else you want to add to this list, do so. When you feel good emotionally, you are more inclined to make better choices and those that align with your goals and beliefs.
