Comparisons Serve No Purpose

Happy Sunday. I hope you are having a good weekend.

Do you find yourself comparing yourself to others?

It could be through seeng someone getting a promotion, buying a house, getting married or setting up a business while you are still working your way there.

You need to remember that every journey starts somewhere. If this is you:

  1. Remind yourself off your strengths and use these when working on your goals.
  2. Think back to the last couple of years. Look at the things that you have achieved?
  3. What advice would you give to your younger self? These lessons are important to remember.

Focus on your own journey rather than comparing yourself to what others have done so far.

Change Your Words, Change Your World

Happy Saturday.

With it being July, a new month brings about thoughts of goals and moving forward/ what next?

If you feel like you haven’t moved forward and are not where you want to be at the moment, reframe your thoughts and language.

Rather than saying “I am behind” try saying “I haven’t quite got there yet, but I am working hard towards it.”

By altering the way you say things, it helps to remove the all or nothing mindset and opens the door and gives you space to achieve what you want.

Other ways you can say things are:

Instead of I don’t know- I am learning

Instead of But- And

Instead of Should- Want

This is your space to move forward.

All The Best,

Believe You Can

If you honestly believe that you can do something, then you will be more motivated to act on what it is that you want.

If you are hesitant about something, the harder it will feel to reach results.

The person that you see working from the beach and running their own business did not just stumble across all their customers, they put in the hard work, consistency and they believed they could do it.

The person who enjoys eating the food without shame or guilt probably has overcome many hurdles to begin feeling that way.

The thing that these people have in common is that they all believed they could do it and get the results that they have always wanted.

If you don’t try or believe you can do it, you will never know what you can truly achieve.

Work While Others Are Wishing

Ask yourself the question; Are you wishing for something or working towards it?

We always say we want to start exercising, start eating better and start to feel good within ourselves. However, how often do we follow this through?

More often than not, people don’t take action.

If you really want it, make a plan of action and take the steps to get to where you want.

Ask yourself a few questions.

  1. What is your goal?
  2. How do you get to that goal?
  3. Do you need help to reach the goal?

If you don’t take action then you cannot expect a change. If you do need help to get there, go and ask.

You have got this!

Make It Happen

If you want something, go and get it. That is my motto. I am currently chasing my dream and have big and exciing things coming up in 2021.

Many people don’t actually know what to do when they set goals. They find it too overwhelming and then end up letting what they want take a back seat.

The best way to set your goals is to write down a list of things that you want to achieve and leave it somewhere that you can see so you know exactly what you are working towards.

Secondly, break down the goals. If you have a list of 20 things you want to do, are you going to do it? No, you are most likely going to think just give up. Break them down into periods of the year, quaterly, half way etc. That way you set yourself a realistic deadline to complete your tasks.

A goal without a timeline is just a dream.
