Hello 2022

Happy New Year! I hope you had a good one, however you chose to celebrate.

The question about when will the pandemic end has come along, and sadly that is impossible to answer.

However, what we know for sure is that us humans are all capable of adapting.

It might not be how we envisioned things to be, but it is great to see how everyone has reacted to the changing way of living.

Some people saw openings in the door and created new business ventures, others changed the way they served their audiences and others did nothing.

The question that I am going to ask you, is what are the big opportunities that are heading your way in 2022?

Wake Up Your Metabolism

I want to talk about reverse dieting.

Firstly, our bodies are very good at adapting. If we are eating low calories, our body learns to run on that.

However, if we are eating lower calories and want to gain muscle and lose fat, it wont happen.

We need to upregulate metabolism by increasing food and decreasing the amount of cardio that we do.

You should reverse diet if you are coming out of a low calorie diet, if you are hungry more often than not, if you want to fix your metabolism and recover better from exercise.

Reverse dieting has many benefits such as, increased NEAT and energy, improved recovery and being able to enjoy food freely.

Just the same way we train our body to survive on less calories, we can also train it to eat more food.

Let The Weekend Begin

I am so glad it is the weekend.

I am not one to sound so negative, but January has been tiring and mentally draining. I feel more lows than ups.

Being in lockdown and the dark mornings make things a lot harder than they should be.

Working towards goals on top of juggling a full time job is not an easy task.

I honestly feel like 2 days off isn’t enough time to rest and recover. I seem to sleep over 10 hours on the weekend.

I am also still adapting to my new job, there are challenges and every day I learn something new.

The constant change is also hard to follow.

I know that this feeling will go away in time to come, but I simply have to be patient and go with it.

Let us all hope that February is a much better month for us all.
