How Is Your Motivation?

Hi. I hope you are doing well.

We all set ourselves challenges, and goals, but once the initial excitement of working towards these goals wears off, how do we stay motivated?

  1. Make sure the goals that you have set are the right ones. If you aren’t sure it is the right goal, of course, your motivation will dip.
  2. Be careful about the way you talk to yourself. Don’t talk to yourself in a way that degrades you. Talk to yourself using powerful statements and affirmations that motivate you.
  3. Remember your why. Why are you doing this? Why do you want this? Why is this your goal?

I would love to hear how your motivation is going this year, so do comment on this post.

Positive Quote Of The Day

“Believe you can and you are half way there”- Theodore Roosevelt

This is probably one of my favourite quotes.

Why?

For me it motivates me to overcome how strong my own mind can be when it comes to thoughts. It is also inspires me to work hard to get to where I want and need to along with working past obstacles.

What quote gets you motivated?

Day Out Recommendation

Recommendation post.

The other day, I decided to take myself out on a walk to Wimbledon. It was a gloomy day  but no rain, just slight drizzle.

Every time I go to Wimbledon, I have to get my coffee from Coffee Hart. Coffee hart, is a coffee shop on wheels. Their coffees are truly made with love. The two that own coffee hart are so kind, and welcoming. My favourite coffee is a cappuccino.

Once I had my coffee, I walked around the shops for a bit. I then decided it was time to settle down and do some work for Live Like KK. I went to 601 Queens Rd.

I was greeted immediately and given a table. Before I even sat down, I was poured a glass of tap water.

I decided to have a glass of white wine. It was a dry and crisp, just how I liked it. They also do a variety of foods. They have breakfasts such as toast, eggs, and pancakes. They also have salads, burgers and much more. It isn’t your generic menu. I opted for the banana and  ricotta pancakes. They also asked about any allergies, which I don’t have.

The food came quickly, was well presented and full of flavour.

I paid £8.50 for my glass of wine and around £11.50 for my food which is London prices but for the quality I won’t complain.

The environment was calm. Not to mention it has a clear roof so you can get the natural light even if it is grey outside. This  always helps me to stay motivated. The staff topped up my water without asking and always made sure I had everything I needed.

I would thoroughly recommend this place if you want somewhere with tasty food, to feel good, happy and relaxed.

Dare To Dream

Dreaming is all part of the process when it comes to setting goals. We chase our dreams. They are what our hearts truly desire.

On the other hand, we have our heads telling us that our dreams are too big and we won’t be successful at going after what we want. Our head tries to keep us in our comfort zone. It is when we start following our hearts we can create the life that we want.

Dreaming and goal setting play a big part in our wellbeing. They help us to stay motivated and when we achieve part of that we then want to keep going.

This is my reminder to you:

  • Don’t be afraid to go after your dreams
  • Set yourself goals that help you to achieve what you want
  • Take action
  • Always follow your heart

New Year, New Goals

With the new year approaching, there is gong to be a lot of talk about goal setting for 2022.

I used to be a person who would freak out about not having a solid plan in place for the new year because I would be disappointed about the progress I made in the previous year and it made me realise maybe I didn’t have the right approach.

Setting intentions and goals is great as they are motivating and get you feeling excited, but when setting them, it has to be done in ways that you understand and ways that you can action.

Ask yourself what makes you feel good? What would be your ideal way to close to 2021 and enter 2022?

For me setting the big goal then breaking it down it smaller steps to take throughout the year helps me, rather than setting lots of single and individual goals.

How do you set goals?

Put In The Effort

Working hard isn’t fun. If it was fun, we would all work hard.

The things that help us towards a better future are not enjoyable such as studying, working, exercising, getting proper hours of sleep, saying no to plans.

The question is, is the outcome worth the effort?

Are you feeling frustrated that the effort you are putting in, isn’t giving you the rewards that you deserve?

Remember, the outcome is worth the effort that you are putting in.

The thing that we need to also remember is to quit making excuses as to why things aren’t working out. Work hard, and keep motivated. Become the person that you have always wanted to become.

There’s Never An Excuse To Not Work Hard

Many people think that they are lacking motivation, when really what they are lacking is the discipline.

Think about when you are at work or school and you get given a task that you really don’t want to do, but you do it regardless. If you don’t go to school because you aren’t motivated, you will more than likely fail, just the same way that if you don’t go to work because you aren’t motivated, you will more often than not get fired.

When we look at this, so why do we think we need to be motivated when it comes to our health and wellness?

We don’t. We need to adopt the same ethic that we take when it comes to work and school.

It might be difficult to schedule in your workout and cook a hearty meal when you really cannot be asked, but we all do things that we don’t want to because we know that the end result is better and worth it.

In essence, get up, cook a good meal, exercise and priorities your health as much as your other tasks.

Life Isn’t Solid, It’s Fluid.

Christmas is a time for giving.

It is a time for celebrating with your loved ones.

This year is very different to how many of us have imagined.

We may have wanted to travel to be with family, friends or even for a holiday.

If you can remember one thing, remember that this is temporary and you can get through it. It might not seem like it but it is.

We have a lot to be grateful for. Celebrate the small wins.

Make the most of Christmas Day with those you do have around.

Always find the good in situations and things will be more positive.

Our reaction to a situation has the power to change a situation itself.

Get Motivated. Stay Motivated.

Many people ask me, how I stay motivated through my training, eating, business and life in general.

Well it is rather simple.

  1. Relax. Relaxing is important. Anyone who goes crazy and trains every day of the week wont be able to relax nor recover and in fact will do serious damage. The same goes for those who diet all the time. There is a reason why we don’t do any of these things.
  2. Reflect. By this, I mean look back on your week and evaluate all the things that you have done and the things that you could improve on. If you don’t see the positives, something is clearly wrong.
  3. Set Goals. Write down all the things that you want to achieve, set a time frame and crush them.
