Excellence Is The Bare Minimum

People aways push us to keep trying to do new things and just keep going, even when it is things that are outside our comfort zone.

When we don’t do these things, it makes us feel like a let down or failure but in reality we can’t always be doing everything. Sometimes simply doing the bare minimum is enough.

When I think about the bare minimum, it is doing 30 mins of exercise, reading for 10 minutes and that is enough for me.

Take a moment and think about what is the bare minimum that you can do.

Simple = Beautiful

We yearn for a simple life, then why do we always over complicate things?

A simple life is possible if we do the following:

  • Set monthly goals rather than yearly goals.
  • Declutter your home as this will make you feel less stressed if you have less things around you
  • Carry a water bottle to stay hydrated which will help your energy levels.
  • Meal Prep so you don’t eat junk
  • Have a good morning and night routine to start your day in the right frame of mind

Give these a try and see what difference this makes to your life.

I Can, But I Wont

One of the worst feelings is being stuck and feeling unmotivated.

I get you because I have been there.

The feeling of not wanting to get out of bed, not feeling strong enough, both mentally and physically, under or overeating and not being able to focus.

The reason we often begin to feel unmotivated is because we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to do the most thing possible and the best that we can. The thing that I finds works best for me if I feel myself getting like this, is to take time off from social media and turn off my laptop. Setting this boundary works wonders.

Another thing that helps is to get your 7-9 hours sleep, drink your 2litres of water, have your fruit and veg and take some time for self-care, whether that is listening to a song you like, spending time with family, having a nice walk or a long soak.

The small things all equate to big results.

Be Free

What does freedom look like to you?

It can be in terms of relationships, work, food and much more.

It shouldn’t be anything that causes you to feel anxious, stressed or controlling you. That is a recipe for disaster.

We want to feel good. We want to enjoy things without guilt. We want to feel in control.

We should be able to thrive both mentally and physically.

How To Beat The Bloat!

Bloated?

Bloating is a normal thing to happen to our body. It can be due to eating something that your body doesn’t agree with, travelling or even during the time of the month. However, there are a few things that we can do to beat the bloat.

Here are some tips below:

  1. Keep an eye on your fibre. Too much fibre can cause you to bloat.
  2. Moderate the amount of processed foods that you eat. Everyone is different with how much sugary foods, takeaways etc. that they can handle, but too much of this can upset your stomach.
  3. Limit the amount of caffeine you have. Too much can cause a bloat.
  4. Ensure you drink your water.
  5. Make sure you get enough sleep. If you don’t sleep enough, your digestion won’t be effective.
  6. Chew your food. Don’t guzzle it down. Enjoy every little bite.
  7. Eat your greens. These are essential for good digestion.
  8. Don’t eat too much at once. Give your body enough time to digest.
  9. Limit the stress. When you are stressed your body won’t prioritise digestion.
  10. Don’t volume eat.

These are just a few things that you can do to take care of your tummy and give it a little help along the way.
